| This client wanted to supply radiant heat to just the first floor and let his oil boiler supply the remainder of the heating load. Reduction of oil was the motivation to do this. Because of the small building lot and shading issues, the array was placed on the roof. This system should pay for itself within 6 years. And after that they have “Free fuel For Life”! |

| This is a solar space heating system using evacuated tubes. This system will produce 140,000 btu's a day and supply hot water to their boiler system.The client wanted to offset the amount of oil that they use. Depending on the amount of cold days, they can expect to recoup the cost in about 6 years.Because of the size of the array and the house orientation to south the most appropriate location for the collector was a ground mount at the gable end of the house. |
